MAMINA’S GARDEN

This piece is a loving tribute to my grandmother, whom we affectionately called Mamina. It is my special way of honoring the tenderness, strength, and care she brought into our lives. Her garden in Quito, Ecuador was a true sanctuary, lush with purple hydrangeas, graceful iris, and edible blooms she lovingly harvested for her small restaurant. Each plant carried her essence: her love for beauty, nourishment, and the wisdom she passed down through quiet moments in the garden.

Helleborus from my balcony, ranunculus petals from Ecuador, and iris grown in Lancaster bring her memory into the present. Hydrangeas and ferns echo the textures of her garden, grounding this piece in love and legacy.

Pressed and preserved in resin, this tray is more than a functional object, it is a botanical altar to the women who shape us, to the gardens that teach us, and to the stories that bloom in our hearts across time. Let it bring warmth and remembrance into your home.
