ANCESTRAL WHISPERS

This piece is an homage to the quiet wisdom passed down through generations, a floral offering rooted in remembrance, strength, and deep connection. It honors the stories, lessons, and resilience we inherit, often carried not in words, but in gestures, in gardens, in the way we hold space for one another.

At the center of the composition lies a Ginkgo leaf, an ancient symbol of longevity and memory, reminding us that we are never alone on our path. Surrounding it, purple ranunculus from Ecuador speaks of depth and intuition, while soft dahlia petals and hydrangeas, gathered from my neighborhood in Ardmore, echo the emotional richness of those who came before us. Helleborus, lovingly grown on my balcony, adds a gentle strength, blooming even in the coldest seasons. Baby’s breath brings a breath of grace and continuity, while ferns ground the piece, connecting past to present with their quiet, steady presence. Pressed with care and deep reverence, this frame holds more than floral beauty—it holds lineage.
